Think of your emergency preparedness planning as an insurance policy that buys you some peace of mind for today and the future. All it takes to be prepared is a little bit of time together with your household members, and stocking up on a few things you probably normally use anyway. You probably have most of what you need in your house right now. Even if the unthinkable should happen, you will be better off by having a plan and a few basic supplies to get you through a rough time.
